The New High School Teacher
A former Sergeant in the Marine Corps took a new job as a high school teacher.
Just before the school year started, he injured his back.
He was required to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body.
Fortunately, the cast fit under his shirt and wasn't noticeable.
On the first day of class, he found himself assigned to the toughest students
in the school. The smart-aleck punks, having already heard the new
teacher was a former Marine, were leery of him and he knew they would be
testing his discipline in the classroom.
Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom,
the new teacher opened the window wide and sat down at his desk.
When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he picked up a stapler and
stapled the tie to his chest.
Dead silence...
The rest of the year went very smoothly.

전 해병대 출신 하사관이 어느 고등학교 교사로 새로 부임하게 되었다.
안타깝게도 그는 개학 바로 직전 등을 다쳐 상체를 깁스로 둘러야 했는데
다행히도 깁스는 셔츠 아래에 쏙 들어와 겉으로 눈에 띄지 않았다.
수업 첫날, 그는 학교에서 가장 골칫덩어리들이 자신에게 배정되었다는 걸 알게 되었다.
새 교사가 전 해병대 출신이란 걸 이미 전해 들은 저 잘난 문제아 녀석들은 그를 미심쩍어 했고,
새 교사는 녀석들이 자신의 군기 잡는 실력을 시험하려 들 것을 알고 있었다.
소란스러운 교실안으로 자신있게 걸어 들어간 새 교사,
교실 창문을 활짝 열고는 자신의 탁자에 앉았다.
그러자 강한 바람이 불어와 그의 넥타이를 펄럭거리게 했다.
스테이플러(호치키스) 를 집어 든 그,
넥타이를 자신의 가슴팍에 대더니... 쾅! 찍어 고정시켰다.
죽음과 같은 정적이 흐르고...
그해 내내 수업은 아주 순조롭게 진행되었다.
